Hi all, I thought I would share with you how I made mini picture frames for the 1/12 scale pictures I painted.
You will need some thick card, or mount board, some thin card. A ruler and craft knife or scissors, some glue and finally some edging scissors with a fancy blade.
First mark out the size of your frame on the piece of thick card.
Then cut this out. I used the ruler and craft knife to keep the edges straight.
Now use the edging scissors to cut strips of fancy edging from the thin card. Cut 2mm strips from this card as well.
Now stick the fancy strips to the card frame, mitering the corners.
Then do the same with the 2mm card strips. You can make it as fancy or simple as you like at this point.
Finally paint the frame. You can use whatever paints you like. I have used both gold and white crackle spray paint.
You can make the frames in whatever design you like, the only limit is your imagination.....

Pet basket - Club Project
Hi all,
Last Monday I went to my local dolls house club, the monthly project was to make a pet basket. We were given some printed instructions and the materials we needed and as usual we all got on with it whilst chatting and having tea and biscuits. I almost finished my basket at club and finally put the finishing touches to it this morning.
We were given some fur material to cover the base but I decided to use some leather instead. I thought I might use it in Hagrids hut with a suitable mystical animal rather than a cat or dog.
Here is the finished basket. I used some coloured chalk on it to remove that brand new look.
Here are the instructions that we were given at club. You should be able to click on it to enlarge then print out.

Etsy Listings
I have been meaning to list some things on Etsy for ages. I finally got round to doing it this afternoon so hopefully I will get some success.
Here's a peek at a couple of things I have listed under ngminis.
This is a little map case and map which opens and closes
This is a quiver based on one I saw at Leeds Armouries with bow and arrows.
A little leather bag of runes
Finally a little 1/24th vanity case
As you can tell I have been playing with leather quite a bit ;o)

1/24th Scale Scene
Hi all,
I hope you are well. I thought I would share with you a small scene I made in 1/24th scale a few months ago for a club display. It was the first time I had made anything in this scale as I usually stick to 1/12th.

I made almost everything myself with the exception of the pictures. One was a swap gift and the other I printed off and put into a frame I had bought.
I made the sofa and chair from scratch using card, material, felt for padding and beads.
The plant pot is a tomato puree lid painted with nail polish and the plant is made using a punch with beads on wires covered in flock for flowers.
I designed the rug myself and sewed it.
The tiny box actually opens and the lamp lights. The shade is made using acetate and lead strip.
I hope you like it.
